Ketsui: Kizuna Jigoku Tachi Extra

De CAVE Interactive

This enhanced port of Ketsui: Kizuna Jigoku Tachi includes the original arcade game along with a new remixed game mode called "X mode". X mode retains the same stage design and enemy placement from the original version, but completely reworks the scoring system. The complex combo system from the arcade mode is replaced with a simpler per-enemy scoring system. Enemies drop chips while the player has their support ships locked onto them; the enemy will drop one chip per support ship locked onto it. This encourages the player to get close in order to maximize the number of support ships able to lock on. In practice, this encourages a similar risky gameplay style to the original game but with a lower mental overhead that's easier to pick up. X mode is accompanied by a new arranged soundtrack, and players are given the choice of using either soundtrack with either game mode.
