Beanland was a planned multiplayer battle royale game based on the Dumb Ways to Die franchise, featuring gameplay centered around player-owned avatars and assets. Players control unique 3D characters known as Beans and have companion pets that travel with them through a shared virtual world. The core experience follows an RPG hack-and-slash format, allowing participants to undertake missions, level up their characters, and acquire new equipment to enhance their abilities. Beyond the main progression, the game offers distinct modes focused on competition and survival. King of the Pack is a battle royale variant where players compete to hold a crown for the longest duration to win the match. Additionally, a survival mode known as Zombeans challenges players to withstand increasingly difficult waves of zombie enemies, requiring them to fight through the horde and reach an extraction zone before time runs out.
